James Fukai

James had been in many different bands ranging from death metal to "hippie cover" bands. However, in June of 2000 he planned on giving up on music with the evaporation of his previous bands. He was now working full time at Auburn University as a tech support man. At this time 41down was also looking for a second guitarist. By chance and good timing James and the band hooked up through a friend named Jamie Uertz in the summer of 2000. The energy he brings to every show is very evident and is one of the reasons the band gets rave reviews where ever they go. Some of the equipment James currently uses consists of: Mesa Dual Rectifier, Johnson Millennium jm-150 combo amp, boss dd-3 delay, phaseshifter, morley badhorsie 2, whirlwind selector a/b switch.
